Sports Nutrition

In athletic competition, as little as 2% dehydration can decrease performance by 10%. Improper nutrition can have similar effects.  A Sports nutrition counseling session offers nutritional planning and education to help athletes reach their fullest potential.

A Sports Nutrition Consultation varies depending on individual needs or goals, but covers many of the following services:

  • Nutritional analysis of food record using nutrition software
  • Discussion of nutritional fueling for all phases of training (pre-workout, workout, and post-workout) to help meet individual performance goals
  • Plans for weight management
  • Sweat rate calculation
  • Fueling for endurance events, such as marathons and triathlons
